Kethi Khanna Pop Up - 9/17 at 6pm
Regular price $125.00
Join us for a heritage field dinner in Petaluma on 9/17 at 6 p.m. at Tara Firma Farms to celebrate Kula Nursery's desi bounty. We'll be making a family-style- Gujarati Indian-inspired meal that's farm-fresh and prepared by South Asian chefs Hetal Vasavada and Srishti Jain. Along with dinner, you'll enjoy a farm tour and see (and taste!) how Zee from Kula Nursey has been growing heritage South Asian produce. From aromatic spices to locally grown produce, each dish will tell a story of heritage and innovation.
FYI: This dinner is BYOB. All meals are vegetarian. No substitutions can be made. Food is made in a facility with nuts, dairy, and wheat.
About the Kethi Khanna Team:
Srishti Jain is a vegetarian chef and baker known for her supper clubs in the Bay Area, New York City, and London. She is currently working on a plant-based Indian cookbook out next year. She started cooking at a young age and has not stopped since. She lives in San Francisco and inspires thousands of her online Instagram followers to cook with more heart and, of course, more plants.
Zee is the owner of Kula Nursery, a grassroots urban nursery working within and for BIPOC communities to increase food sovereignty through garden education and culturally relevant plants. Kula Nursery has been deeply rooted in the South Asian community in the greater San Francisco Bay Area, understanding the gaps in the local food system and increasing the availability of these missing heritage foods by growing them on her farm and nursery.
Hetal Vasavada is a baker and cookbook author based out of the Bay Area. Her recipes have been featured in the New York Times, Food & Wine, Bon Appetit, and more! She's currently working on her second cookbook and shares her Indian-inspired recipes on her Instagram.
